could be

i don't know where i found this one, but it was no doubt from a very amazing individual

making friends

back in new york. the past month has been something else. i'll find time later to sit down and capture it all, but for now, i leave you with this. this guy wanders the botanical gardens in medellin, colombia. so cute!

noteworthy iphone shots: on the road

been kicking it in florida the past week. internet-less time has lead to lots of book reading and productivity. pretty into it. after a few days with grandma and great aunt shirley i rented a car to visit jigga man in gainesville and inadvertently got trapped here due to a janky rental car. such is life these days! but i'm rolling with the punches.

made one last purchase on my way out of town and moved it in style

aunt shirley & grandma chillin

feet in the gulf, first of four bodies of water i'll be hitting up this month

new kicks. brass eyelets!

hit up the thrift stores in gainesville!
zack's neighbor dan snagged a copy of the magna carta

and i got a one of a kind bouquet of baby heads

passed on the potted meat
hung out with this guy
and narrowly escaped death by rental. 11, count em, 11 holes in my tire!
now i'm just hanging with weiner dogs 1 & 2 until i hit the road back to grandma's

bicycle portraits

stumbled upon bicycle portraits recently. it reminded me of a similar site i found not too long ago.

bikepeoples

the guys behind the project are basically living the dream...riding their bikes around south africa interviewing all the bike people they meet. the final result will be a book, which i won't mind picking up for my coffee table.

be easy

can't stop thinking about the ocean

las lajas

won't make it to las lajas this time round to colombia, but it's too spectacular not to share.

take me to your ski hill

i'm not a skier, never been. but i'd like to, and i'd like to pop my skiing cherry at this spot. can you imagine?  the full frontal windows would no doubt freak me out at night when it got pitch black...i'd imagine bears, rapists, et al. approaching my pod...but there's a little fun in the scare anyway.

someone please take me here and sign me up for the bunny hill!

take me to another land

so after i posted the roadtrip pics i realized, wait! i do have more. turns out i bought a holga in portland and took a few rolls with it. when i got back the pricey prints i decided the return on investment might not be worth it, as not many photos came out. but i've revisited the ones that did and think the hard work might be worth it...

i've added them to the set here. they're all in black and white...selects below.

take me to another place

here are some shots from a month long road trip i took this summer. a couple days in i thought my camera was broken, so i only shot two rolls the whole time. big bummer. oh well, sometimes it's nice to just remember things the way they were, without a picture to prove it.

La Evolucion Silenciosa

Would love to snorkel this with my underwater lomo in tow...

Artist Jason de Caires Taylor installed these 400 statues off the coast of Cancun & Isla Mujeres. Never thought I'd be interested in going to Cancun, but this might lure me...Spring Break 2011! Whoo!

where are these

and how do i get there?

via, really wish he'd list the source of all his finds so i could make some travel plans!

black/white

got my last roll of film from my trip back...black and white shots in paris.

you're in trouble!

the days are long, but the time flies

tiny little parisians

she was playful & curious

Photos! Some aren't half bad, but overall, the gloomy skies over there weren't conducive to shooting with my camera & film. A friend, who shall go unnamed, said these aren't my best work...but that shouldn't reflect on the (mostly) good time I had out there.
